Howard Oaks *** U.S. Army *** WWII 1941-1945

 

Howard served in Battery C, 512th Field Artillery attached to the 4th Armored Battalion, 3rd Army. He drove supplies and ammo as the 3rd Army advanced across Europe, was involved in the Battle of the Buldge and later the repatriation of Russia POW's and other displaced individuals from eastern Europe. Discharged in 1945 he returned to the United States via the U.S.S. SeaRobin.
