Morris W. Tirrell *** U.S Army *** WWII 1942-1945
 
Morris entered the Army on December 14, 1942 at Fort Devons, MA. Further infantry and artillery training took place at Fort Jackson, SC, and Fort Bragg, NY. until October 1944 Then in November, 1944 he arrived in Europe in "Satan's Sister" a 6 gun, 105mm artillery battery, of the 399th Infantry Cannon Company, 100th "Century" Division, 7th Army. Morris advanced through France and into Germany driving a 6 wheel drive weapons carrier called "Margueritia." At the war's end he was transferred into the 311th Occupational Army and later discharged October 1945. Included here are Letterheads saved from military correspondence and of a chance meeting with General Eisenhower.
