John F. Kratka *** U.S. Army *** Europe -WWII 1943-1945

 

Enlisting into the U.S. Army, John received Basic Training at Fort Reilly, Kansas. Having the fortune of being a musician he played the clarinet in the U.S. Army Drum and Bugle Corps prior to being sent as an infantry radioman during the European Campaign.
